🔄 Alternative Routes: The Annapurna Circuit offers multiple variations depending on the traveler's time available and preferences. Trekkers can start the trek directly from Besisahar to complete the circuit, or extend the journey to Nayapul, passing through the Ghorepani area and Poon Hill, a spectacular viewpoint. For those seeking an even more epic experience, there is the option of detouring to the impressive Tilicho Lake (4,919 m), one of the highest lakes in the world. Alternative routes also include the Nar and Phu regions, two remote valleys with unique landscapes and intact Tibetan culture.

TREKKING ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,310 m)
✈️ Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Pick-up and transfer to the hotel.
🚶 Free time to explore the city or rest after the flight.
🌆 We recommend visiting Durbar Square, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), or the Thamel district.
Day 2: Drive to Besisahar (823 m)

📉 Elevation loss: -487 m
🚍 Private vehicle journey.
🏔️ Enjoy views of hills, rice paddies, and the Trishuli River.
🛖 Arrival in Besisahar, starting point of the Annapurna Circuit.
Day 3: Drive to Dharapani (1,860 m)
📏 Distance: 35 km
⏳ Duration: 6 hours
📈 Elevation gain: +1,037 m
🚙 Off-road transfer by 4x4 along a mountain track.
🌿 We pass deep valleys, waterfalls, and small Gurung villages.

Day 4: Trek to Chame (2,670 m)

Day 5: Trek to Pisang (3,100 m)

Day 6: Trek to Manang (3,440 m)

Day 7: Acclimatization Day in Manang

🛑 Rest day to adapt to the altitude.
🛖 Explore Tibetan culture in Manang and try traditional garlic soup to aid acclimatization.
Day 8: Trek to Yak Kharka (4,350 m)

📈 Elevation gain: +910 m
🥾 Leaving behind the last cultivated fields as we enter alpine tundra.
🛑 Short stop in Gunsang (3,900 m), a village with spectacular views.
🐐 Chance to spot the elusive Himalayan tahr (mountain goat).
Day 9: Trek to Thorong Phedi (4,420 m)
📏 Distance: 7 km
⏳ Duration: 4 hours
📈 Elevation gain: +70 m
🚶 Short but challenging hike as oxygen levels decrease.
🏔️ We cross a glacial stream before ascending to Thorong Phedi.
🛑 Rest at the lodge in preparation for the big pass crossing.
Day 10: Cross Thorong La Pass (5,416 m) – Descent to Muktinath (3,850 m)
📏 Distance: 15 km
⏳ Duration: 7 hours
📈 Elevation gain: +996 m / Elevation loss: -1,566 m
🌄 Early morning departure to tackle the challenging Thorong La Pass.
🏔️ From the summit, enjoy breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and Annapurna (8,091 m).
🕌 Descent to Muktinath, a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists.
Day 11: Trek to Jomsom (2,700 m)

💨 Walk through the arid Kali Gandaki valley, known for strong winds.
🛑 Stop at Kagbeni, a medieval village with monasteries and narrow stone alleys.

Day 12: Flight to Pokhara (950 m)

🏙️ Free day to explore Pokhara: boat ride on Phewa Lake, visit the Peace Pagoda or Gupteshwor Cave.

Day 13: Return to Kathmandu
