MEET YOUR GUIDE

JOAN VILANA

IUAGM High Mountain Guide

Being a mountain guide involves much more than knowing the route; it involves accompanying others in environments that can be demanding and changing, always with safety and professionalism. I am Joan Vilana, a UIAGM and UIMLA guide, and I enjoy both alpine activities on snow, rock, ridges, and glaciers, as well as mid-mountain tours where you can appreciate the variety of landscapes and ecosystems.

I work primarily in the Pyrenees, where I know every corner and condition well, but I also enjoy traveling to other mountain ranges, especially the Alps, to continue expanding my experience and knowledge. I believe that each mountain has its own way of teaching and challenging.

My goal is to accompany those who want to discover or delve deeper into the mountains, with a practical and personal approach. Whatever the activity, I strive to ensure that each outing is safe and enriching, adapting to the conditions and level of each group or individual.
